The Project
Auberge Mauna Lani reached out to us to create some high-end retail merchandise for one of their properties. They specifically wanted something that represented the rich Hawaiian culture, and numerous activities surrounding it that their property has to offer. Auberge is known for tailored activities that immerse their guests in the local flavor, culture, and history in which the property resides.
Guests leave truly wowed by their experience, and Auberge wanted them to take a piece of that experience home with them. Hawaii is not just down the street, and guests come from all corners of the globe, which is why size and weight are important factors when considering retail items for destination resorts.
They need to be able to be carried away easily.
The Mauna Lani wanted something elegant, suitcase-sized, and representative of the local history, culture, and activities available to the guests. We recommended our Signature Coaster Set, a set of 4 glass coasters, wrapped in satin ribbon, and displayed in a white magnetic closure box. A perfect retail item for the destination traveler.

The Images
After some deliberation, Mauna Lani decided on four beautiful photos to showcase the scenic beauty, historic significance, and majesty of the Mauna Lani.
- Their famous outrigger canoe, celebrated as a traditional boat in Hawaii, can be seen on permanent display in their grand lobby.
- Whimsical figures of children running free around the Great lawn.
- Mauna Lani’s pool, with palm trees in the background, offer an oceanfront view of the sparkling Pacific Ocean.
- At night, their Canoe House is magically lit, offering a subtle romantic ambience to the entire property.

About The Product
Each coaster measures 4in x 4inch and are laser-cut from 5mm thick glass. We searched high and low to find the right glass factory capable of producing the quality cut of glass we were looking for, and after three different factories, found one that met our standards. All 4 edges (top and bottom) are chamfered polished, meaning the edge is shaved off at a 45-degree angle, offering a unique, elegant touch.

We wanted the coasters to speak for themselves.
That is why we went with a simple approach to wrap them in white satin ribbon. Our boxes are custom designed specifically for our product by a trusted manufacturing partner.
